What I actually enjoy the most in Research is the sense of curiosity you can develop...No limits are exsiting when you are working for a Research and Consulting department...
Bring ideas, even the craziest ones you can have...since gathered with others' ideas they can lead you to brilliant projects!
...Leading a brainstorming session is the craziest moment I ever had experienced during my professional life...where gathering all these people in the same room and make them working on buzzwords, groups of words, competing in groups and write all the craziest ideas coming directly up from their brain....this is how you can see and overcome productivity!
Be curious..
Today, all the doors are opened..read books, pick some ideas to build new ones, navigate on the Internet, create your social network, participate, interact, share opinions and insights throught the Web 2.0 tools (blogs, podcasts, videos, social platforms, wikis, widget, twitter, chat living, forums, group discussion...such as Youtube, Facebook...)
Go further, go forward!
Thinking far away in the future, expect the future trends...To enjoy it entirely, dare to face your fears of what is new...overcome your pessimistic approach on every new tool coming up on the Internet..BUT... GIVE THEM A TRY! test everything..such as recently twitter without any prejudice but..imagine THEM IN 2 years, think about the future use for what?...imagine another place where it can fit for a company, an individual, a personal use....
...Let's see...
I participate to specialized blogs and social platforms led by professionals in Recruiting, Employer Branding, Advertising and Communication....I am impressed by all the concerns about the future of Online Recruiting, the future of Web 2.0 tools... Everything is so easily known on the Internet..Recruiters can check your Internet Attitude through Google Advanced search and special softwares...your history, your ideas, your presentation is seen by all of us! So behave! In the US, some recruiters even notice potential candidates who have the leadership skills through their blogs: Do they lead some blogs? Do they manage to interact with other Internet Users?
...Social network!
Twitter in the US is seen as a phenomenon increasing by 3000% while many Europeans do not understand this additional instant messaging tool! From some webinars I attended, I forecast a Twitter used for Recruiting. WHY?
"The mass communication" age is over... People, job seekers, passive candidates are expecting a "Customization world" where each personality can provok an interest, where we care about the Human as an amount of skills, experience, and knowledge..as an INDIVIDUAL...and NOT Mister everybody! With the Internet, a community effect is developping...people WANT to develop a sense of community, they want to belong to a group, to participate to it, to interact so that their comments, insights can be noticed and taken into consideration. This community effect, personnalization world is gaining weight...that explains the important birth of social platforms where you can acquire a membership, chat, discuss in forums, interview...some companies start offering on the Internet, a package tools with which you can create your social network (look at Standoutjobs.com, Ning...)
Recruiters will have their own social network on which you could become a member, chat with employees, recruiters, post questions, follow their videos, blogs in the company..follow their day-to-day tasks through twittering...and starting applying, taking some assessments and evaluation tests...and ending with a living interview on the Internet such as skype...and signing your contract online...
Here a buzzword of the future of recruiting...
